Gill Mitchell shows Brighton and Hove City Council's true colours when she attacks the Green Party for opposing the constant call to concrete the countryside for a park-and-ride facility (Letters, June 27).
Despite saying otherwise, park-and-ride is not a sensible solution. Countless studies have shown this, yet the council ploughs on with its destructive plans regardless.
You do not need a crystal ball to predict what is going to happen.
The King Alfred development is being forced through despite heavy local resident opposition.
I predict the waste plant at Hollingdean will also be forced through, despite health issues and, again, heavy opposition from locals.
Finally, this park-and-ride scheme will be forced through despite clear evidence it won't help Brighton.
