A national news broadcaster has been signed up to host the 2005 Brighton and Hove Business Awards, the BAHBAs.
Channel 4 news anchorman Krishnan Guru Murti will compere the event which takes place at Brighton racecourse on September 1.
He said: "I jumped at the chance to present the Brighton and Hove Business Awards.
"I have long been a regular visitor to Brighton and have always been impressed by the levels of energy and innovation in the city."
Krishnan is the main anchor of Channel 4 news at noon, which he combines with regular presenting of the flagship Channel 4 news at 7pm.
His work has included hosting coverage of the September 11 attacks, the Afghan war and the Asian tsunami, with a stint at the Washington bureau covering American politics.
During the Iraq War he fronted Channel 4's daytime coverage, presenting Channel 4 morning news and the lunchtime war report.
