I felt I had to write because I was so angry after reading two of your articles (both in The Argus, July 4).
The first was about the monstrosity they intend to build in place of the King Alfred leisure centre.
It would be an absolute eyesore and not at all in keeping with the buildings surrounding it.
The second article was about the Le Petit Pain, the cafe in Church Road, whose owner has spent his own money converting its back garden into a lovely patio with tables and chairs for his patrons.
It is his business and also his living yet Brighton and Hove City Council has decided it doesn't fit in with Church Road and wants him to demolish it.
When deciding what is best for our city, we in Brighton and Hove have the worst council in the country.
It makes you wonder who the council is working for and who it is paid by.
