A protester from Sussex arrested following disturbances on the first day of the G8 summit in Scotland appeared in court yesterday.
About 70 custody cases were heard at Perth Sheriff Court following incidents between protesters and police officers in Auchterarder and a number of roads in the Gleneagles area.
Another 40 protesters were appearing at Stirling Sheriff Court in connection with incidents around the city on Wednesday morning.
David Mirzoeff, of London Road, Brighton, denied assaulting a female police constable on the A9 Perth to Stirling road.
Mirzoeff had a trial date fixed for September and was released on conditional bail.
