Kelly Holmes believes her trio of Sussex girls can cover themselves in glory at the London Olympics in 2012.
Danielle Christmas, Charlotte Best and Charlotte Browning are all part of the On Camp With Kelly scheme aimed at developing the next generation of world class female British middle-distance runners.
The double Olympic champion believes that, under her guidance, Crawley duo Christmas and Best along with Browning, from Chichester, can be in a position to challenge for medals in seven years time when the Games come to London.
Holmes said: "I'm hoping to make these girls' passage much smoother. Fingers crossed a few of them are going to be at these Games.
"There's a long way to go. Seven years of dedication, commitment and pressure can be adverse on performance.
"The important thing now is not to put pressure on the younger generation and not hang medals around their necks just because they're junior champions."
Holmes has also revealed her desire to light the Olympic flame at the 2012 Games, possibly alongside David Beckham.
