A DOG warden found Welsh Terrier Teny tied to a lamp-post in Worthing, 500 miles from his last-known home in Glasgow.
Teny, thought to be around six years old, was frantic but eventually calmed down when he was taken to the National Canine Defence League in Brighton Road, Shoreham. Staff were baffled as soon as they examined the dog. Teny had an ID chip implant which gave an owner's name and telephone number in Glasgow. But when staff at the 120-dog sanctuary tried to make contact they found the owner had moved two years ago, leaving no forwarding address. Now they are trying to solve the puzzle of how Teny ended up in Sussex. Rescue centre manager Sharon Prior said: "It's a real mystery. "He was very worried when the dog warden found him and very defensive at first. But he is fine now."
