THE Argus today gives five young Sussex people the opportunity to meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
A glittering reception is taking place in June to recognise young people from around the country who have made an exceptional contribution to local life. We have been chosen by the Palace, along with a small number of other newspapers, to nominate the lucky five from Sussex. So today, we launch our search for the Sussex Young People of Achievement. They will be aged between 18 and 30 and can have achieved in any area of their lives. It could be at college, at work, in sport, as part of the community, or even in their personal lives. The Queen's assistant press secretary, David Tuck, said: "People might stand out through voluntary work, academic, sporting or artistic achievement, or perhaps have overcome major physical or emotional difficulties." The reception takes place on June 1. Our winners will be announced next month when the full guest list of more than 600 is unveiled. Today, you can nominate a young person who you feel deserves this honour by filling in the form in the Argus.
