YOUNG Albion supporters snapped up football memorabilia to raise cash for new players.
The Argus-backed event was held to swell the coffers of the fans' Buy a Player Appeal which has raised more than £15,000 since it was launched in January. Hundreds of people filed into the Royal Mail sorting office in North Road, Brighton, for the auction yesterday. Fans picked through old programmes, a range of nostalgic prints of the Goldstone and Albion memorabilia. Copies of the Sports Argus and our Bring Home the Albion goodie bags went like hot cakes at the auction, which raised more than £500 for the appeal.
