CRIME on a Brighton estate could be slashed - thanks to a skate park.
Youngsters at Whitehawk could be in line for a multi-purpose skating arena. And police think it could send crime rates tumbling. PC Darren Day last night told members of the Whitehawk Community Forum that several national skating firms were interested. Land in Avon Road is a possible site. And he said it could have a dramatic effect on local offending - "People who are dedicated to the sport do not seem to get involved in crime."
