SUSSEX have gone Dutch to bolster their batting line-up.
They have snapped up highly rated right-hander Bas Zuiderent on a one-year contract.
Sussex have beaten several other counties to the 21-year-old's signature.
Zuiderent shot to prominence in the 1996 World Cup when he hit a half-century against England.
Ayear later he was named man of the match when he was run out for 99 in a NatWest Trophy tie against Worcestershire.
