BRIGHTON and Hove Cricket Club have qualified for tomorrow's National Finals of the English Cricket Board Indoor six-a-side championship at Lord's.
The 12 overs a side competition is held each winter with sides qualifying to play at county level through local leagues and then into the national competition via county finals.
The club won the Sussex final in January by beating Bexhill by 53 runs.
After a bye in the fist round proper of the national competition, the champions of Middlesex, Olympians, were beaten by four wickets in the second round.
In the regional finals at Canterbury a week ago, Brighton and Hove beat Milton Keynes CC of Buckinghamshire by five wickets, then saw off Hainault & Clayhall CC from Essex in the final.
Their bowlers were well on top in that match, and only 52 was required for victory which was attained comfortably in the 11th over.
Those bowlers, Matthew Ades, Grant Morrish, Tim Howe and John Pritchard set up the victories with Neil Marchant's solid batting ensuring the advantage was maintained in both games.
Their opponents in tomorrow's semi-final are Ynystawe from Wales with the winners playing either Farsley Cricket Club or Loughborough Students in the final.
