A FORMER James Bond actress has launched a High Court bid for compensation against a prestigious motor racing festival where she fell and injured herself.
Eunice Jackson, 65, uses the stage name Eunice Gayson and has appeared in 50 films including the Bond classics Dr No and From Russia With Love.
She is now suing over an incident on June 25, 1995when she fell forward on to her knees after allegedly tripping on an electric cable at Goodwood Park, near Chichester.
Mrs Jackson, of Kensington Gardens, Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, is seeking damages from Goodwood Company Limited, of Goodwood, Chichester, and event organisers Screenco Ltd, of Chessington, Surrey.
She suffered serious knee injuries. Both defendants deny liability.
Mrs Jackson was a guest at the fourth Festival of Speed at Goodwood Park - one of the biggest events in the British motorsport calender.
Mrs Jackson said she was claiming "substantial sums" in compensation. The case, which is expected to last about three days, continues.
