The fab five from St Paul's School at Haywards Heath wowed judges with their dance routine when they appeared on the BBC1 children's show last month.
And they were due back on air this morning to repeat their routine in front of millions of young viewers afterthey were voted top act.
They captured the show's Talented Teacher award with their entry called "5 past 3 ".
Thousands of viewers of the regular Saturday morning slot phoned in to back the St Paul's entry.
The team inclues teachers John Tarrant, Dominic Kenrick, Rob Carter, Jonathan Morris and Tim Webber. A delighted Rob joked: "Do I get to kiss Zoe Ball again?"
Dominic said: "I was overwhelmed by the number of votes we got, which was 7,500. We beat the Frank Sinatra impersonatorinto second place."
The team's prize will be a miniature wooden blackboard and easel inscribed with Talented Teacher.
