MOST women would not share their man with anyone else.

But Sue Pilling's love rival in the bedroom comes in the shape of a 5ft 6in Dalek.

The full-size, black and silver robot began sharing Sue's bedroom after boyfriend David Pound won it in a television competition.

And she has now warned David: "It's me or him".

Sue has given her Dr Who-obsessed partner the ultimatum after becoming sick of waking up next to the new arrival.

Sue said: "I was unhappy with this thing looking over me. I was getting very cheesed off that I was the second person David said 'good morning' to every day.

And David, 26, has admitted defeat and will banish the Dalek to the hall of their home in Prestonville Road, Brighton.

He said: "She was getting unhappy with the situation.

"I have had it next to the bed, but it is being banished to the hall."

David has a huge collection of Dr Who memorabilia around his home - but Sue, 28, plans to change that as well.

She says she "loathes" the cult sci-fi series, and plans to make David confine his collection to one room when they move house.

David said: "We are thinking about moving but she has told me that when we get a new house, I have to put everything in one room." David won the Dalek after pitting his knowledge of the series against two other experts on BBC1's Whatever You Want, hosted by Gaby Roslin.

Dressed as his favourite Dr Who, Peter Davison, David scored the highest in a quick fire round of questions.

He said: "I didn't know what the prize was until the end when they wheeled the Dalek on.

"I forgot about the audience and just ran over to it and started hugging and kissing it."

David and the Dalek were transported back to Brighton in a chauffeur-driven car - attracting curious stares from passing motorists on the way.

Afan all his life, when David saw an advert for the programme in his Dr Who magazine, he knew he had to audition.

He said: "I think I was a fan from birth. Peter Davison is my favourite doctor, it was whoever you grew up with I suppose."

Among his Dr Who memorabilia, are a Cyberman helmet, toys from the series and jigsaw puzzles.

There are at least two other Daleks in Sussex - one belongs to 51-year-old Michael Owen and the other belongs to 22-year-old Guy Dowers, both of whom live in East Preston.
