TEENAGE prodigy Tom Hadfield is to be featured on an ITV documentary about the richest kids in the UK.
The website whizz made his fortune by coupling his favourite hobbies, football and the internet, when he was just 12.
Britain's Richest Kids, to be screened on Friday April 30, records how Tom, a pupil at Dorothy Stringer School in Brighton, dreamt up the Soccernet website during a religious studies class.
The website was an amazing hit and still records around 200,000 hits every Saturday. It is one of the world's most popular destinations for net surfers.
It has generated millions of pounds in advertising and has now been bought by Associated New Media, part of Associated Newspapers.
In February Tom won Revolution magazine's prestigious award for Best Use of New Media by a Media Owner and he was presented with a trophy by Madness singer Suggs. He beat competition from The Financial Times and the Economist.
The precocious 16-year-old had his first computer when he was just two and never looked back. He manages to fit his lucrative business around his school hours. His business partner is his father Greg.
The programme also features seven of the country's most innovative youngsters including self-made millionaire Tom Hartley, 16, from who made his fortune selling luxury cars and Ben Way, 17, who set up a computer consultancy operation not long after swapping hamsters at school for a profit.
