The Kent/Sussex League club have won through five rounds to reach the final of the EHA Trophy at Milton Keynes tomorrow (3.30pm).
And they head for the showdown with Epsom realising the side who makes the fewest basic errors will lift the silverware.
The match is the equivalent of football's FA Trophy final and Worthing's appearance is a first for Sussex.
Epsom finished second in the Hampshire/Surrey League and the sides meet annually for friendly games.
Worthing's Alex Ballamy said: "We always have very tight matches with Epsom.
"Nerves will play a huge part. We'll have to keep our discipline and make fewer mistakes than they do."
The Milton Keynes arena is the Wembley of English hockey and none of the Worthing squad have played there before.
But the water based pitch is similar to that at their Durrington home, which might help swing things in the Sussex side's favour.
Worthing will be at full strength with the exception of unavailable inside right Mark Minchell. David Edmondson is called in.
There is likely to be a huge crowd at Milton Keynes as all five national men's finals are staged on the same day.
Worthing's game follows the big one, between Cannock and Reading for the EHA Cup.
Worthing squad: Godsmark, Martin, Beales, Bird, Fuller, Massie, Ballamy, Rylatt, Duncan, Edmondson, Newson, Holloway, Warren, McCartney, Atkinson, Perry.
