THE victim of a robbery attack was held up by another thug moments later.

The 27-year-old man was set upon in Wivelsfield Road, Haywards Heath.

He was walking from The Wivelsfield pub when he was confronted by two yobs who punched him in the face and ribs.

One was about 5ft 9in, with long dark sideburns and wearing dark jeans and Adidas trainers.

The other wore black jeans and Nike trainers. They grabbed the cash and fled.

Their dazed victim tried to walk home but about two minutes later, when he reached a footpath near St Francis Close, he was set upon again by another thug.

The attacker demanded money but the victim said he had none left and the man made off.

The attacker in the second incident was aged 20 to 30, about 5ft 8in, and of medium build.

ACID spokesman said:

"He was quite dazed by the first attack. He believes he may have been punched again."

The victim did not need hospital treatment.

Anyone with information on the assaults, at about 9.30pm on Friday, April 30, should call Haywards Heath Police on 01444 451555.
