SUSSEX will be at full strength today when they face a New Zealand side coach Peter Moores reckons could cause a surprise in the World Cup.

The sides meet at Arundel (10.45) in the Kiwis' final warm-up match before their opening Group B game against Bangladesh at Chelmsford on Monday.

And Moores is expecting a tough game, especially as the low, slow Castle Ground wicket is likely to be ideal for New Zealand.

"They haven't got any obvious superstars, but they could shock a few sides in this World Cup," said Moores.

"They have crept into the country and kept a very low profile so far, but they play a lot of one-day cricket and they can compete with anyone.

"When you haven't got that much pressure from outside you can normally play your best cricket and they definitely have the capacity to surprise a few people."

Tony Cottey and Robin Martin-Jenkins would both have missed Friday's rained-off game against South Africa, but have recovered from back and knee injuries to play.

Rajesh Rao, Alex Edwards and Toby Peirce have dropped out of the squad and are currently playing in the 2nd XI to gain match practice.

Added Moores: "We were desperately disappointed not to play on Friday so the boys won't need any motivating for this game.

"We haven't played at all since last Monday and that's a lot of time without cricket."

New Zealand won't decide their line-up until tomorrow, but they could field the side which will face Bangladesh in their tournament opener.

Skipper Stephen Fleming said: "We have been focussing on this for the past five or six months and there is no better place to play in the World Cup than England, the home of cricket."
