ALBION'S chief scout Ken Craggs has left the club for the third time.
Manager Micky Adams is expanding and reorganising the Seagulls' scouting network, and Craggs does not figure in his plans.
"We won't be operating a chief scout," said Adams. "We will be working more on area scouts.
"I am looking at possibly two, one for the north and one for the midlands. There are four of us that can cover the south."
Craggs was appointed by Brian Horton when he took charge of Albion 15 months ago.
The veteran former Fulham player was assistant manager to Alan Mullery during Albion's rise from the old Third to the First Division.
His first spell with the Seagulls ended after five years in 1981 and he went on to replace Mullery as manager of Charlton.
Durham-born Craggs first returned to the club to scout for Jimmy Melia. He was employed in a similar role by Horton at Manchester City and Huddersfield and is now likely to team up with him again at Port Vale.
