DRUGS and stolen property worth thousands of pounds have been recovered following a series of raids on a dozen homes in East Sussex.
More than 30 officers swooped on addresses in Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven as part of a crackdown on drugs and thefts yesterday.
The raids led to 12 arrests and the recovery of quantities of heroin, herbal cannabis and cannabis resin.
During the search police also found a large amount of stolen property including electrical equipment, a motorcycle and a car.
Police have praised the help they received from the general public following months of intelligence work.
Insp Chas Macinnes, of East Down division, said: "This has been a very successful operation.
"We gained our intelligence from a variety of confidential sources, good police work and inforaation from the public."
