CLOCKS: Don't forget they go back this weekend. And its just over 60 days to the millennium. Apart from waiting for local buses in Woodingdean, we are still waiting for a bus shelter at the stop nearest to the Community Centre in Warren Road and we are still waiting for north-bound bus service on the Falmer Road towards the Downs Hotel. Also we are still waiting for lighting in bus shelters all over Woodingdean this winter.
CONCERNS: Police in Woodingdean have notified local churches that drug abuse (chiefly among the under-30s) as well as domestic abuse and violence are two of their current greatest concerns in Woodingdean. Contact: 01273 321000.
SALE: Tomorrow is the Parents and Toddlers Table Top Sale in the Methodist Church Hall at the foot of the Ridgeway from 10am to 2pm. All welcome.
SORRY: The community library in Warren Road was closed recently for a half-day during normal opening hours due to staff shortage - apologies for any inconvenience caused.
SURGERY: Next month's surgery held by Dr Desmond Turner MP will be from 11.05 am to noon on the November 20 at the usual venue - Woodingdean Community Centre.

Flower Show: The Southwick Horticultural Society is holding its Autum Show
on Saturday, October 30, from 2.30-4.30pm at the Southwick Community Centre. There will be displays of floral art, vegetables and flowers.
Jumble Sale: The Coastline Harmony singing group is holding a jumble sale at the Community Centre tomorrow from 10am.
MEETING: Sussex Quilters meet in The Deall Room, at the Community Centre on the first Wednesday of each month from 10am-noon and the first Thursday of the month at 7.30-10pm. If you are interested in learning about quilting, call in and pay us a free visit.
NEVER TOO OLD: An adult education Swot Shop is being held at Kings Manor School on Saturday, November 6, when all-day classes are being held in various subjects including yoga, French polishing, Christmas decorations, astrology, tracing your family tree and bobbin lace making to name a few.
