ALBION ace Darren Freeman admitted today: "I lose it sometimes".

The Seagulls will be without their unpredictable top scorer for the next three fixtures after he was sent off at Cheltenham last month for stamping on an opponent.

Freeman is banned from Saturday's home game against Hartlepool, next Tuesday's FA Cup replay against Peterborough at Withdean and the match at Macclesfield on Sunday week.

The Brighton-born striker blames it on his desire to do well for his home town club.

"What I did at Cheltenham was wrong and I have got to live with that," Freeman said.

"I can't moan and sulk. I've had a chat with the gaffer about it and he has just told me to keep my head up.

"Sometimes I get a bit frustrated, because I want to win games all the time.

"I get a bit geed-up. Maybe I lose it sometimes, but I just want to do well for Brighton."

Freeman is backing strike partner Gary Hart to fill the goalscoring gap during his absence.

"Harty is a tremendous player. The goals will come in time for him. He is working ever so hard and that's all you can do.

"It's like me when things weren't going well in the last couple of weeks. I kept digging in there and the gaffer kept faith with us.

"When you get the chances you can only do your best."
