A school governor who sold heroin to pay for her drug addiction has been jailed for three years.
Emma Swallow, 26, who ran a school uniform shop at Whitehawk County Infant School, Brighton, made £17,600 from the drugs racket, a court heard.
Swallow was seen by undercover detectives selling £20 wraps of heroin from her home on the Whitehawk estate in Brighton.
Officers posed as customers on three occasions at her Wiston Road home and saw Swallow smoking the drug while they were there.
After her arrest, she admitted being part of a joint venture with her boyfriend, supplying heroin for six months.
She told police that at first trade had been brisk, earning up to £320 a day to fuel her £60-a-day habit.
Swallow, described by her barrister as an "end-of-the-line" dealer, said she was given free drugs as a reward for selling them.
Gabrielle Henty, prosecuting, said up to 30 people a day would call at her home but sales fell when she started selling smaller quantities of lower quality drugs.
Andrew Bishop. defending, said Swallow's arrest was one of 20 made following the undercover police operation.
He told Lewes Crown Court Swallow had already decided to leave the drug scene in Brighton and live with her grandmother in Scarborough, where police caught up with her in August.
Swallow admitted four charges of supplying heroin in June this year and one charge of allowing her premises to be used for the
supply of heroin.
