Midfielder Lee Weston put Rebels on course from close range on 69 minutes.
But Harlow were rewarded for a strong finish when Fayana headed home six minutes from time after an attempted lob by Wayne Cort was tipped onto the bar by goalkeeper Lee Bray.
Weston's opener came from a well-worked free kick, Guy Rutherford directing the ball to Simon Funnell on the right and he crossed well for Weston to score from eight yards.
Worthing were then endebted to Bray for producing good saves to deny Marvin Samuel and Fayana before Paul Thomas made a goal-line clearance from John Nicholson.
Harlow, playing in front of new manager Ian Allinson, inflicted Worthing's heaviest league defeat of the season with a 5-1 thrashing in December and came close to completing the double when Fayana fired wide a minute from time.
Breaking
Adie Miles, leading the attack with Funnell, came close to breaking the deadlock just before the interval when his goal-bound header was well saved by Daryl Trigg.
Bognor started the New Year as they finished the last with a home defeat. Rocks, who only had one fit striker at the club, lost 1-0 to Staines.
Bognor allowed the visitors to dominate early on. Rocks settled but found the killer touch was missing and Staines goalkeeper Matthew Lovett in inspirational form.
Craig Reilly headed home the winner from a Nick Jansen cross in the 77th minute against the run of play.
Bognor boss Jack Pearce said: "I have no complaints about the players, they all worked hard. But it just seems that no matter how hard they work, there just seems no-one who looks like scoring for us at the moment."
New Horsham boss John Maggs helped ease the Hornets' relegation fears by securing the club's first-ever victory over Wivenhoe Town in his first home game in charge.
The 2-1 Division Two win was their first league success since September 18 when they defeated against Hungerford.
Maggs said: "John Kirby and Martin Lempriere were giants at the back and the whole team worked hard for me.The effort and attitude I have seen tells me we should be much higher in the league."
Marc Allen headed Horsham into the lead after 61 minutes. Seven minutes later Allen's mis-directed shot from close range cannoned into the net off Cliff Thomas.
Hornets completed the last nine minutes with ten men after Allen was sent off for his second bookable offence, a trip outside the area. Seconds after the dismissal, Barry Roberts pulled a goal back for the visitors.
Tommy Pattenden hit a second-half winner as Lewes defeated stubborn Tring 1-0 at home in Division Three.
After a disappointing first 45 minutes, Lewes came out for the second half in a more positive fashion and dominated it, but good build up play was spoiled on several occasions by poor final ball. Yet the home side produced a superb move after 74 minutes when an inter-change of passes saw Pattenden provide the ball for Kevin Clifford who hit the bar. A minute later the Rooks scored the winner when Pattenden slid the ball home after being put through by Simon Chapman.
