Sharp-shooting student Lee Weston struck twice last night to help Worthing sail through their latest cup examination.
The versatile 20-year-old was given a rare chance upfront and caused cumbersome Saints all sorts of problems with his pace and willing running.
Paul Thomas and Simon Funnell also netted on a pleasing night for the Cup holders.
But Worthing can expect an altogether more searching test when they visit Saltdean or Langney in the last eight.
Weston, who got his chance with Marc Rice and Ben Carrington injured, admitted: "I suppose I could have scored even more but hopefully I've kept my place in the side.
"I really prefer playing wide in midfield, but I enjoyed it upfront and I'll always be noticed for my pace and how I like taking people on."
That was certainly the case just before the interval when he glided around goalkeeper Chris Fitkin to put Rebels on course.
What was expected to have been a close contest was over by the hour as Thomas thrashed home a close-range drive and Funnell chipped a beauty from a tight angle.
The former Albion star, who hit the post in the first half, then produced the deep cross to allow Weston to add the fourth with a glancing header midway through the second half.
Weston, who had also struck the bar, had a few chances to complete his treble and Fitkin produced a great save from Thomas's blast as the hosts enjoyed themselves.
Saints were a disappointment, apart from a 39th-minute chance which could have changed the story of the evening. Simon Fox teed up Carleton Chatelier, but he skyed the shot.
Saints boss Andy Thomson admitted: "Worthing were tremendous and I hope they go on and win it."
