Twenty jobs have been created as Bosham's Swan Garage prepares to move to a new site in Chichester.
Managers expect the new showroom to be ready within six weeks and are looking for staff to work in sales, administration and the workshop.
More staff could be taken on once the showroom is up and running. The £2 million development on Terminus Road will be one of the biggest Renault dealerships in the country.
Terry O'Brien, managing director of the garage, said: "This is a huge investment in the local area and a very exciting development for us and local motorists. The whole complex will be fully accessible to disabled visitors and ample space is set aside for an area where people can wait during a service or MOT."
Sales director Nick Pratt said the dealership had outgrown its current site and added: "It was never designed to cope with the current volume of trade."
He said business was booming, despite websites offering cut-price cars. Mr Pratt said: "Lots of people don't have the confidence to spend large amounts of money on the internet.
Swan Garage was established in 1914 when it serviced bicycles as well as cars. It took on the Renault franchise for Chichester in 1983 and expanded into the Worthing area in 1998.
The family-owned business has won the Renault UK Dealer of Excellence award five times.
