Brighton Racecourse will unveil a £1.5m new look at their first meeting of the season tomorrow.
Work on refurbishing the main grandstand at the track has been completed in time for the first of 22 fixtures during the flat campaign, including four evening cards.
The entire ground floor of the grandstand has been renovated with new food and betting outlets, toilets and a 90ft long bar which general manager Phil Bell claims is the biggest in British racing.
Racegoers in the members' bar will also be able to watch the action on a big screen and other improvements include a resurfaced betting ring and new seats in the grandstand.
Around £3m has been spent since Northern Racing became the new owners in 1998 and the latest improvements are part of a five-year refurbishment programme.
Frankie Dettori, Kieron Fallon and Walter Swinburn are all expected to be in action tomorrow when the highlight of the opening fixture will be the £10,000 Tote Credit Club Brighton Mile.
