Umer Rashid believes Sussex can bounce back against his old county from a crushing defeat.
Rashid reckons they can recover from a Benson and Hedges hiding by Surrey at Hove in tomorrow's group visit to Middlesex.
Sussex were bowled out for 97 yesterday, their lowest score in the competition for 22 years.
Surrey were cruising at 61-1 when rain ended play, leaving them convincing 35-run winners under the Duckworth/Lewis system.
Rashid, who joined Sussex from Middlesex last season, said: "We are not too downhearted.
"We are a very positive side and we will bounce back from this.It might give us a bit of a shake-up now that the season has started. I am sure the batsmen will get it right and post some big scores.
"It was nice just to be out in the middle after having games rained off. The ball was moving about early on and Surrey bowled in good areas. That's the way it goes sometimes.
"I am looking forward to returning to Lord's. There weren't many opportunities for me at Middlesex and Sussex gave me a chance to play.We are going up there to do a job, which is to win the game."
Michael Bevan makes his first appearance of the season tomorrow. Sussex's Australian star arrived back in England from South Africa early yesterday morning and popped into the County Ground before catching up on some sleep.
"I don't really know Bev that well, but he is a fantastic player," said Rashid. It will be great for the boys to have him back.
"He is raring to go and it is a big confidence boost for us."
Wicket-keeper Shaun Humphries is hoping to be fit after missing the Surrey match with a sore finger.
