Crawley Town's premier division campaign at home fizzled out in a lacklustre a 1-1 draw against eighth-placed Ilkeston Town.
Billy Smith's side had already beaten the drop and were without injured skipper John Ugbah and Jay Lovett, on Sussex duty.
Danny Wackett came in for his first start since returning from injury and Francis Vines partnered Dean Wordsworth up front.
Wackett demonstrated composure and confidence at the back and will be look to stake his claim for a first team spot next season, competing with Lee Doherty and Curtis Johnson for the right-back role.
Luke Anderson had a fine game in midfield for Reds and goalkeeper Andy Little made two superb early saves from Paul Eshelby.
Vines had a goal disallowed for a foul after 21 minutes when Keith Sharman was adjudged to have impeded goalkeeper Andy Love.
Crawley went behind three minutes before the break when a Eshelby volley was pushed away by Little and Lennon Abbott pounced to score.
Reds' substitute Lionel Best was injured in the second half and replaced by Ryan Andrews, back in Reds' first team for the first time under Smith.
Wordsworth scored his tenth goal of the season to equalise after 57 minutes.
Andrews fired just past the post 13 minutes from time and was denied by Love eight minutes later.
Gus Hurdle and Sharman impressed in midfield.
Hastings Town let slip a two-goal half-time lead to draw 2-2 at home to Newport Isle of Wight in the eastern division..
Goals from Stuart Myall and Danny Simmonds appeared to have clinched the points.
Lead
Hastings took a deserved lead midway through the first half when Myall scored with a flashing drive from the edge of the box.
Simmonds increased the advantage on 35 minutes, driving home from Paul Jones' astute pass. Newport goalkeeper Shwan Jalal pulled off two smart saves, but all Town's good work was undone in an eight- minute spell when strikes from Steve Leigh and Graham Gee levelled.
St Leonards drew 2-2 at relegated Fleet.
Fleet took the lead through Adam Deller-Smith and Graham Bannatyne pulled off a fine save for the visitors.
Saints equalised eight minutes after the restart.
John Rattray's shot was palmed down and Simon Fox and then Paul Ruddy slid in to force the ball home.
Fox put Saints 2-1 up, but Aidan Kilner levelled with a curling free kick.
