The threatened downgrading of the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath and the possible loss of its Accident and Emergency services is outrageous!
And this is before the publication of the findings of the Central Sussex Review Board, due for release on July 27.
Despite the protestations of many this farce continues.
More consultations and public meetings are a total waste of time and money if protests are disregarded.
The board suggests patients be seen more quickly by specialists centred at large hospitals. What nonsense!
Is not the Princess Royal Hospital large, specialised and modern enough? Lest we forget, it was a new complex, built and equipped barely eight years ago!
-Maurice Owen, Mid Sussex District Councillor, Haywards Heath
