I notice residents living adjacent to the County Cricket Ground in Hove continue to express their delight about successfully getting the giant eggs removed.

At the same time they moan and groan about the floodlighting around the ground.

I wonder if these same people would express similar delight if Sussex County Cricket Club, in frustration, decided to move to a ground elsewhere, offering greater scope for their plans?

They may consider selling the ground to a housing association offering accommodation for homeless families, or even to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, who I am sure would welcome the opportunity to play their games, many under floodlights, at such a convenient venue.

Stranger things have happened.
