A Sussex internet firm has revealed the first wannabe pop star to be discovered on the internet and launched a record label to sell her first album.
Bosses at Crawley web firm StreetsOnline were so impressed with an MP3 sent in by French singer Tiz they agreed to sign her up.
Her album, Esoteric, is now on sale on the company's website alongside established acts such as Richard Ashcroft and Eminem.
StreetsOnline is the most popular e-commerce site in the UK and managers at music division Audiostreet hope some of the 1.6 million people who visit every month will listen to the singer.
Tiz said she was confident her internet record deal could lead to stardom.
She said: "With the internet you can get a following. You can sell all over the world."
Visitors to the site can listen to a free MP3 track from the album and order the recording online.
Steve Cole, managing director and founder of StreetsOnline, said "We are delighted to be able to announce Tiz and her new album and believe she will achieve great success within the music industry."
