We do not know why Green councillor Keith Taylor has resigned from an all-party group of elected member to focus on issues concerning older people (Argus, July 6).
The group was established in December last year to develop more effective ways of involving older people in the planning and development of Brighton and Hove Council services and support them in influencing the activities of other service providers that affect their lives.
As a cross party group, we would like to reassure all older people in Brighton and Hove that we will continue to work on their behalf.
-Councillors Gerry Kielty, Gwenda Beishon, Harry Steer, Anne Meadows, Dee Simson, Lynda Hyde and David Watkins
