Tributes continue to pour in from all over the world for murdered schoolgirl Sarah Payne's grieving family. Here we publish some more of the messages.
I reside in Vancouver, Canada, and grew up in the Brighton area. I was also a police officer with the Sussex Constabulary. Via the internet I have followed the tragic events leading to the discovery of Sarah's body. I cannot find words to convey my sorrow to Sarah's parents and siblings. May God bless you all and help you through this dreadful time and may the perpetrator be swiftly brought to justice.
Bronwyn You will always have Sarah in your hearts and minds and that can never, ever, be taken from you. God bless you and all your family and don't worry, he will be caught.
Malekin family My thoughts are with Sarah and her family. I live in East Preston and have always praised the area as a caring, close-knit, community in beautiful surroundings. The ANIMAL (I'm lost for polite words) has violated my village. It's personal, and now something special has been lost. I've been to Pulborough to lay flowers, to say goodbye to a sweet, innocent child, but I want and need to do more to help ease my heartache. I know how I am feeling so for Sarah's parents the pain must be indescribable. WHY... WHY did this happen..? Politicians everywhere MUST take note.
Mrs Sue Lewry I am so sorry about your Sarah. I have a granddaughter that age and feel for you if she was not here. I am going to Lourdes next Thursday, July 27, with the Arundels Brighton Diocesan Pilgrimage with 800 plus people of the Diocesan Surrey and Sussex Catholic church. I will light a candle and have you, your family and Sussex Police in our prayers while we are over there in France and on return.
Wendy Woodland I felt I had to express my family's heartfelt sympathy towards the Payne family. As a mum of three children, with my own little girl of ten, it chills me to the core to even think about what this stinking animal did to this innocent princess. The only time I can remember feeling so upset was on the day Princess Diana died. It seems to have had the same impact on the whole nation, one of total disbelief. Now we have two princess's in heaven and it all seems so pointless. God bless the Payne family.
L Newman, Hangleton How could this wicked thing happen to you? Why? We must find this person or people and bring them to justice. You're in everyone's thoughts and hearts, you'll never be forgotten. God bless you and your family.
Love FROM a family from Portslade Asleep in our arms of Jesus dear Sarah. Love and peace to Mr and Mrs Payne and their children. God bless.
Iris Adam, BRIGHTON YOU have not died in vain, and you'll know pain no more as a mortal. They have taken you away from us and they will pay. So watch over us Sarah, you are an angel now and the world is your family.
We miss and love you, AMANDA May you now rest in peace. There shall be no more suffering and God will wipe away all tears. My thoughts for you and all your family.
NICK RYDER YOU were so young to die in such a terrible way. We do not know why this evil thing happened to you and your lovely family. There are nice things and people in the world but you will never have the chance to find this out. Although we did not know you Sarah, we hope now you will be able to rest in peace away from the evil, and your family will one day be able to get on with their lives. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
CELIA AND RAY STEER, BRIGHTON A BEAUTIFUL girl who touched our hearts. May the angels take good care of you little one. You are in our prayers. To Sarah's family, thinking of you all. Look at the night sky and see your little star shining her sweet smile down on us all. She will never be forgotten.
JANE, MICHAEL AND JESSICA KISTNASAMY OUR hearts truly go out to Michael, Sara, Luke, Charlotte and Lee at the tragic, awful events that have taken place this week. It is beyond comprehension that there are people who can commit such crimes but until our laws change it will continue. Please remember though that you are not alone in such awful circumstances and you have the full support of the nation. Sarah will be long remembered as a beautiful little angel along with other children who have fallen prey to these evil people. We hope now though that her tragic and untimely death will not be in vain and that our judicial system takes a radical reform and either hangs these perverts or locks them away till they die. Life should mean life.
MICHAEL AND TRACEY, EASTBOURNE I CANNOT imagine what this family are going through. I have a young daughter myself and could not imagine her life being taken away from me just like Sarah Payne's was taken. This message is to express my sympathy to the Payne family.
ANGELA WHAT a tragic waste of such a precious life. I am full of admiration for Sarah's parents and their strength. Keep up the pressure to find the man who did this, we shall not forget.
DEBRA SELWAY FROM my family to the Payne family, our prayers are with you. Sarah is now with the Almighty. Eventually, the evil will answer for their deeds. Until then, an isolated colony is the answer for these inhuman entities. Sarah is smiling down on us. God bless you all.
PAUL DECOUTO AND FAMILY This is just another message from people you don't know but we would like to send our love, sympathy and prayers for all of your family. We so hope that your beautiful children will be alright and you both will heal after this horrific time. You're all in our thoughts and have our utmost admiration for your strength and dignity. Sarah is now at peace and we so hope that you and your family will eventually find solace and relief too.
With all our love, Suzanne and Cladagh Harrington and Paul Ray THROUGH your pain and heartache may you be comforted to know you are never completely alone, while others understand the sadness you are feeling.
HASITA, HEMINA AND BIPIN PATEL, SHOREHAM-BY-SEA AS A Sussex resident now exiled in Florida, I read of the heartbreaking events that transpired over the last few weeks. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Sarah's parents and relatives. Having lost a 16-year-old daughter to natural causes two years ago, I know the grief that you are going through. Your daughter is in heaven and it us that suffer. My sufferings and prayers are with you all. God bless you.
IAN HARGRAVES, KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE, FLORIDA REST in peace little angel. You filled our thoughts for 17 days and for the rest of our lives.
TONY AND LIZ BOOTH, SHOREHAM-BY-SEA TO all the Payne family, may God help you during this sad time and God keep your 'little princess'. Words cannot express how I feel for you.
MAUREEN CAMPBELL YOUR little princess is safe and away from any danger. Stay strong for the rest of your family and cherish every day that they are with you. You are in our thoughts and in our prayers.
HEIDE SAUNDERS 12,000 miles away and the tears still flow. You had so much to give and it was taken so soon in such a cruel way. May you rest in peace. God Bless You Sarah.
JOANNE PANCHEN I WOULD like to add our sympathy to the family of the little princess Sarah. We are all devastated in our road, my friend and I, Mr and Mrs P Mansbridge of 45 Meadowview Road, and I am sure many more people in our area. My friend and I take her lovely labrador, Sammy, to the Downs every morning and we talk about the family and what they must be going through in their lives.
MRS A BENNETT, SOMPTING OUR thoughts go out to the Payne family. Nobody knows what they're going through right now but themselves and people who have already been there. Sarah is a princess with the angels now, a life so short, taken by an evil beast. Let all the public help catch the monster and cage him for life. God bless Sarah and God help her poor family through this awful tragedy. We will get this beast.
MR AND MRS D HALL, WORTHING SLEEP peacefully dear Sarah. May God keep you safe now and forever with all the other beautiful angels. We didn't know you - but we care very much.
PAUL, PAT AND ZOE, SOMPTING AS the mother of four grown-up children, two boys and two girl like the Payne family, my heart goes out to them. Both my sons were missing for a short time when they were young. The agony was indescribable. I can only imagine what Sara, Michael, their children and family must be going through. Now that little Sarah is at peace in God's hands, we must all endeavour to help the police to catch whoever did this. May the family eventually find peace.
DIANA CRAMP, SOUTHWICK
