A Beacon Community College student has presented a digital arts version of the Reservoir Dogs set in Crowborough.
Reservoir Cats was created by Vici Wyatt, 18, and gave an idea of what the classic film might have looked like if Quentin Tarantino had been brought up in East Sussex.
The film formed part of a video art installation presented at the University of Brighton Gallery on Grand Parade.
It was created with the help of computer artist Shona Illingworth.
She worked with students at Beacon Community College as part of the community digital graphics project Art on the Net.
Miss Wyatt used the Photoshop graphics package to manipulate still photographs and create a computer animation.
She said: "Reservoir Dogs was my favourite film at the time and I had used Photoshop before.
"Shona was great. She gave me lots of ideas."
The project was completed in July last year.
Ms Illingworth said: "This is the first time I've worked with A-level students and they gave a very sophisticated response to the technology.
"Vici was exploring the issues and stylistic conventions of the film but she was also subverting the masculine posturing."
Miles Jefcoate, art teacher at Beacon Community College, said: "This not only gives the students IT skills but it enables them to be expressive and creative.
"They use different tools to reach the same objective they would with normal media."
