I am one of several people who guffawed at the recent exhibition to display Brighton and Hove Council's plans for Brighton railway station.
Somebody asked a harrassed looking official why there was a photograph of the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao. Will there be original Dali and Picasso paintings among the biscuits and floor-cleaning liquid?
Of course, unlike the Spaniards, all we are getting is yet another hotel and supermarket, more flats and the sop of a couple of pottery workshops.
When will the council realise that those in and around the town want something interesting rather than more of the same?
