A Brighton man has become the first actor to be voted off a movie by its audience.
In a move which anticipated the fate of Sada Walkington, who was kicked out of the Big Brother house on Friday, viewers voted to kill off Jake Knightingale's character in the Running Time internet film after just three five-minute episodes.
Mr Knightingale said he chose to leave the show as he was planning a break but the show's creators said his eco-warrior character Parris was shot due to public demand.
He said he was not aware he was permanently written out of the script, adding: "I had booked a holiday."
Anya Noakes, a spokeswoman for the film, said: "We wouldn't restructure the show because someone went on holiday.
"The audience chose to have him shot."
