A top Brighton club says it may have to close on some nights of the week because it is running out of booze.
Phil Leppard, manager of the Paradox nightclub in West Street, said he had to send back two beer deliveries this week because access to the complex was blocked by cars left on single yellow lines.
Mr Leppard says if he cannot get enough drinks in to supply the 1,550 customers at the Paradox and the Club Barcelona downstairs, he will have to close.
Now he is calling on Brighton and Hove Council to create a loading bay outside the club.
Mr Leppard said: "The worst problem is with cars with disabled stickers because the traffic wardens cannot move them on.
"Yesterday we had to send back a delivery because the traffic warden had actually told the driver of a disabled minibus to leave it outside the club."
Mr Leppard has managed the club for the last eight years, during which time he has constantly pushed for a loading bay. He said: "This March I finally got a letter from the council saying we would have a loading bay within a few weeks, but now they say they know nothing about it.
"After eight years I am back to square one and it is very frustrating. This is one of the oldest clubs around. We bring a lot of business to the town but they don't seem to care. I am sure if it was someone in Churchill Square who had a loading problem, it would be sorted out right away."
Mr Leppard has been told the delivery drivers will have to park further afield and carry the crates to the club, but he says this is forbidden by health and safety rules.
A council spokeswoman said: "We are sympathetic to Mr Leppard's problem but we have to admit we have a backlog of traffic orders to deal with.
"We will be catching up on them as soon as possible."
