I find it surprising Gerald Spicer was amazed that the Queen Mother stood for so long at the celebration of her 100th birthday.

Why shouldn't she? After all, in not one of those 100 years has she done so much as one day's work! Instead, she has spent a century of idleness, being subsidised,

cosseted and feted by sycophants.

Come on Gerald, let's get real. The woman is 100 years old.

Neat, tidy and respectable might be adjectives you could use, but absolutely fantastic and wonderful are rather over the top.
