Hastings Priory have extended their lead in the Sussex League premier division to 37 points over Crowborough following a convincing nine wicket win at home to Chichester.
A splendid century from Mourne van Wyk helped Hastings to a maximum points win over Chichester on Saturday.
John North had struck 62 as visitors Chichester amassed 202 all out, but Hastings passed that with just one wicket down thanks to van Wyk's 103 not out plus an unbeaten 88 from George Campbell.
Crowborough were soundly beaten at home to Haywards Heath.
Jamie Carpenter (86) and Steven Moore (57) helped Heath set a total of 247 all out in the face of some useful bowling from Carl Shankland, who finished with 5-88.
Borough struggled in reply and were dismissed for 143 with Mike Hogue picking up 6-36.
Brighton and Hove are third, 44 points behind Hastings with a game in hand.
Stephen Ades struck 55 not out as Brighton totalled 183 all out and, in an exciting finish, Horsham were dismissed for 180.
Eastbourne enjoyed a crushing victory over Three Bridges which moved them up to fourth in the table.
Tim Ambrose scored 98 as Eastbourne totalled 248-6 and Richard Halsall, back in the fold after work commitments had ruled him out for much of the season, took 5-40 as Bridges were bowled out for 97.
Worthing still head the chase for promotion from division one despite losing by one run at Preston Nomads.
Patrick Gada was the star for Nomads, scoring 50 as his side totalled 133 all out and then taking 6-54 as Worthing were bowled out for 132 in reply.
East Grinstead have gone second, 31 points behind the leaders, but just nine in front of third placed Littlehampton.
Grinstead won by five wickets at home to Lewes Priory.
Kashif Ibrahim continued his fine summer for Priory by striking 98 as his side totalled 166 all out. The bowling honours went to former Sussex man Stuart Simmonds who ended with 5-52.
In reply, Grinstead found few problems reaching their target, with Paul Turk's unbeaten 54 seeing them home.
Stirlands, with a game in hand, remain in the promotion picture. They are still unbeaten and Saturday's win at Littlehampton has given them a real chance of making the Premiership next year.
Jamie Hall hit 79 not out as Stirlands posted a total of 176-6 declared and this proved too much for Littlehampton, who were dismissed for 149 in reply.
In other matches, Sidley ran out nine wicket winners over rock bottom Middleton, who were skittled out for 68, and St James's Montefiore had the better of a draw with Steyning. Having set a total of 158-9 declared, St James restricted Steyning to 126-8 in reply.
