A new media firm dedicated to putting music on the internet has been created in Brighton with the help of a producer who has worked with Beth Orton and Peter Gabriel.
Mark Rutherford's star-studded contact list will be a major boost for Brandaudio.
He said he wanted to make the music on the web as good as that on TV adverts.
"There's lots of hip hop and other genres on TV. I hope that will transfer to the net."
Mr Rutherford has been joined at Brandaudio by fellow director Dominic Ashdown and new media expert Simon Grice.
Mr Ashdown said fast new internet connections would boost the popularity of music on the internet.
He said: "With the advent of ADSL we're moving into broadband."
The firm plans to target games and CD-Rom producers as well as internet firms.
