I read Bob Westley's remarks (Argus, August 8) about the work of Phoenix House with dismay.
Phoenix House is part of the only charity that treats substance misusers as families.
Parents go there, with their children, because they are desperate to come off drugs for the sake of their children. Their children do not have to go into care while they receive treatment.
Phoenix House residents cannot hang around the streets drinking or encouraging drug dealing. They are regularly tested for drugs and if caught have to leave.
My daughter works for Phoenix House. Coming clean is incredibly hard and she has the greatest respect for her clients.
She is looking forward to seeing the kids playing in the new garden and taking them to the playground in Dyke Road park.
