A driver died after his car hit a roundabout and smashed into three parked cars.
The 38-year-old man from Littlehampton was driving his Ford Escort when the accident happened last night.
He was travelling east along the A259 Littlehampton Road when the collision happened on the roundabout on the junction of Lyminster Road, Littlehampton.
After striking the roundabout, the car hit three cars in Lyminster Road.
A Vauxhall Astra was severely damaged.
Paramedics attended the incident but the man, who has not been named, died of his injuries at the scene.
The incident happened on the roundabout outside the factory of cosmetic giant Cosi, which makes goods for the Body Shop.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Sergeant Phil Nicholas said: "All we know is that the Ford Escort failed to negotiate the roundabout and the reason for that is unknown at this time.
"Today officers will be carrying out house-to-house inquiries."
