Eight years after setting up their own business, Mark Eastwood and Steve Monteiro have got the UK covered.
Originally called Video Select, their company this month changed its name to ViewPlus to reflect the changing nature of the home entertainments market.
Since 1992 the Sussex-based business has grown from an operation with zero turnover to a £2.5 million turnover.
It now has more than 70 franchisees covering the the UK from Scotland to Sussex as well as Ireland.
Managing director Mark, 34, said: "The company was started as a result of a long-standing desire to set up my own business.
"It was a combination of the entrepreneurial spirit and disillusionment with big companies."
The idea for the business was straightforward.
It distributes a catalogue to customers who select the videos, DVDs and video games they want to see or play over the coming month.
The company then delivers them to the door, calling back the following week to collect it and/or replace it with a new choice. The weekly charge compares to the daily charge of most video stores.
Mark said: "The decision to rebrand was a gradual, deliberate process of evolution. Working at the leading edge of technology, we felt that the name Video Select no longer reflected what we now offer, such as DVDs and video games.
"The name ViewPlus allows the company to continue to grow organically and add to our core video business."
As well as running the national chain, Mark and Steve also run the franchise covering the area around Haywards Heath and East Grinstead from their offices in Lindfield.
