If I were living just off Sackville Road, I too would feel concerned about the plans for residential parking on the other side of the road. Councillor Brian Oxley says people in Westbourne ward feel excluded from the consultation and are looking for someone to blame for the fact they will be living in roads facing an overspill from neighbouring Vallance.
Luckily, I can reveal who is to blame. Stand up councillor Brian Oxley and his fellow Tory members of Brighton and Hove Council's parking task group.
The Tories demanded Westbourne be excluded from the latest round of consultation. Not only do the Tories not support a scheme that would give residents priority in parking near their homes, they have gagged people from even having their say.
