Brighton Bears have snapped up three new players a month before the new season.

Two of the recruits are from the States while Errol Seaman has joined the club from last season's play-off winners Manchester Giants.

The Americans are 6ft 6in small forward Kevin Wallace and 6ft 7in Kenny McFarland.

Wallace, 23, scored 16.4 points per game and was leading rebounder for the University of Maryland last season in the first division of the NCAA colleges league.

McFarland comes to the club direct from the American International College where he averaged 13.6 points and eight rebounds per game.

Bears' domestic recruit is 6ft 5in former London Towers player Seaman will be linking-up with his new team-mates, including Canadians Dave Wahl and Micah Bordeau, this weekend when Bears start their pre-season training camp.

Coach Mark Dunning said: "There is a very small pool of English-born guys within our price range but Errol jumped out as one of the best."

Bears open their British League campaign against Thames Valley Tigers at the Brighton Centre on Saturday, October 1 (7pm).
