Who does Karen Green think she is kidding when she claims travellers are members of the gypsy fraternity (Argus, August 23)? Most travellers give little thought to the inconvenience they cause when they camp on parks, golf courses and other public amenities. They seem to think nothing of leaving enormous piles of rubbish behind them, while not paying a penny in rates or tax. I assume they pay vehicle tax because if they didn't they wouldn't be able to travel.
