Ron Richardson's suggestion the County Cricket Ground in Hove can accommodate more people than attended the Lancashire evening match on August 7 (Opinion, August 30) makes me feel he must have been at a different match.

Having seen the game with my two kids, I can attest the ground could not hold many more spectators than it did. The atmosphere was fantastic and my kids enjoyed watching the match - again in contrast to Mr Richardson's view children at the game showed no interest in the cricket.

To those true supporters of Sussex cricket, don't be put off by the negativity of one individual.
