Dave Bonwick is not the only person fed up to the back teeth with the treatment he receives from Brighton and Hove Council. If you read the Argus regularly, as I do, you will see a deluge of complaints.
It is a pity there are not more like Mr Bonwick, who are prepared to stand up for their rights, even to the extent of taking court action. I take my hat off to him. It is because people with legitimate complaints rarely go to these lengths that the council gets away with as much as it does.
I cannot wait for October 2 when the Human Rights Bill comes into effect. Councils will then have to sit up and take notice or face the consequences.
