I agree with Graham Chainey that the unsightly fence above the Aquarium Terraces along Marine Parade, Brighton, should come down (Opinion, August 31). He doesn't, however, suggest what steps can be taken to to achieve this.
Questions needing to be asked include: Is it required now, is it on public property (actually partly on the pavement), has it permission (and if so is this subject to a time limit) and can Brighton and Hove council now enforce removal or do so itself?
